"Good Win For Touring Team"
ARU vs SA, 14-6, at Hindmarsh Oval
"... containing three of SA's best players - H. Davies, G. Gibbs and E. Fidock. ... Thompson at scrum-half, was sound for SA .... R. Fidock could hardly be faulted at full-back and the Wings deserved a better day. The touring team left later for Ceylon in the Strathnaver."

"Loss to Rugby
The posting of Flt-Lt. Lionel Taylor (ADC to the Governor) to Hong Kong, will be a loss to SA Rugby Union, Stand Off writes.
Taylor, a lively five-eight, was a very useful player for the Old Collegians' last season, and has earned his place in a State team which met the Australian touring side for Ceylon.
His play in that game brought favourable comment from Professor G.V. Portus, who ought to know, as he played in that position for England in 1908 and has since been an Australian selector."
