OCRFC 75th Anniversary Dinner
At the dinner for the club's 75th anniversary in 2012, Rod Hauser told me a story of how he ended up playing for Collegians'.
He came down from Qld, as we know, and was reconciled to playing Aussie Rules in the belief that SA was a non-rugby state. So he turns up to play the local game and can't get a look in. While he's muttering in frustration someone from Collegians' taps him on the shoulder and says "Would you like to play Rugby, son?" He says that if it wasn't for that his rugby days would have ended up differently. But he only remembers the Collegians' man as someone called John with a Polish-type last name. ... PH 18 July 2012
